AMARETTO SPRING WHEAT
Last spring saw the first large tonnage release of C2 AMARETTO spring wheat seed in the UK. Yield and quality from harvest 2005 commercial organic crops have show AMARETTO to be a genuine alternative to Paragon.
In 2005 Harvest UK Official National List trials AMARETTO
produced an average untreated yield of 4% above Paragon. The same set of
trials show that Amaretto has the same outstanding straw length as Paragon
but has the advantage of taller straw strength and 4 days earlier maturity.
One major organic miller are purchasers of commercial AMARETTO on the same
price terms as Paragon for the same sample specifications.
