ATEGO SPRING OATS
2005 Harvest results from official UK trials have seen ATEGO confirm its claim to be the best new oat variety introduction since Firth in 2000. With treated yields of 6% above Firth, ATEGO was the highest yielding variety and also confirmed its strong characteristics of very stiff straw, early maturity and outstanding resistance to the major oat disease Crown Rust.
ATEGO was also the earliest
maturing variety in the trials and one major Scottish seed producer reports
that ATEGO was the first variety being combined commercially in both 2004
and 2005.
